Overclocking a 9600 XT

I have a 9600 XT Radeon card, and when i try to overclock using Rage3D, i clock the GPU all the way up, i think 600 MHz and i overclock the memory until i get artifacts, and i only get a 3-4 FPS increase in games...Anyone know how i can get any more?
 
yeah i mean overclocking really doesnt make a HUGE differnce in graphics cards. ( "HUGE") flashing my bios to 5950 really helped though about a 20 fps gain for me. getting artifacts is not worth 3 fps. sorry i couldnt help.
