I've had the system in my sig for a few months now, and I ran everything at stock speeds other than my 6600GT. A few games I play were starting to get a little choppy, so I just formated and tried my pathetic attempt at an overclock. I have never overclocked anything other than a video card, so I'm a class A newb at this stuff.

All I have done is installed MSI's CoreCenter app from my board's installation disc and overclocked my system through that. It allows me to change the FSB and PCI-E/CPU/memory voltage.

I've changed the FSB from 200 to 222 and am running 2220MHz through a x10 multiplier. I bumped the PCI-E voltage to 111MHz with the card oced to 589/1250.

Through the CoreCenter app I can change the CPU voltage to +3.3%, +5%, +8.3%, or "by VID." I have no idea what any of that is but I have it at +5%. And I also have the memory voltage at 2.75v.

Also in CoreCenter while idle it shows that my CPU temp jumps from 35-40C, my system temp at a constant 35C, and my GPU 55-60C. Is this normal?

I have no idea what any of this does, but is this considered a standard to low-level overclock? At these settings I get 4224 in 3dmark05.

I also have the nTune program installed... Should I use nTune, CoreCenter, or manually mess around with stuff?
