ok heres the deal, im looking to build a new system and im interested in the amd 939 platform. im looking to go with a 3500+ (guessing its a 3800+ underclocked and a lot cheaper) so i can overclock it. The only thing is i dont seem to be able to find any heatsink/fans that work with the 939 platform? are there any currently and if there are what is a good one for overclocking? can someone link some good ones if you have the time. I like the slk series of heatsinks but so far i dont believe they fit the new platform yet. any info/links/help would be greatly appriciated.

The 3500+ isn't a socket 939 from what I know. I think it's a 747 (or a number around there).
Edit: This stuff is too new for any HSF to be out. If you're going to get one though, get that one that looks like a jet engine or somin. It's supposed to be great.

3500+ is socket 939... and in theory any socket 754/940 cooler will fit on socket 939 mobos... the socket dimensions are all the same and they have the same mounting hardware ... only the pin count is different.

yeah a 939 will use the same cooler as a 940/754 (same size/same mounting bracket) AFAIK.
thermalright has the 948U (fairly certain) on a64, swiftech has their mcx64/6400, alpha has the pal8150 and maybe some other stuff as well.
