Overclocking 5450?

So I just unloaded my 480gtx and popped in a 5450 HD until I figure out what I want to put in.

I want to overclock this card as its base clock is only 650. I can overclock it in MSI Afterburner to 700 but the program wont let me go any higher...

I see several people on youtube getting 800+ so I know there is more room, plus I am only getting to 45C under load at 700.

a 5450 is so slow that is not not really going to help enough to matter.

You need to unlock afterburner limit by writting stuff in the ini

here s a guide. Start from 700 and move up slowly, Don't burn it out!

Agree here, I have a 5450 that I used temporarily between video card purchases too and its a waste of time to try to overclock it. Its so slow to begin with and has almost no overclocking potential that its pointless to even bother.

yeah I think that is going to be the case here. It was $23 so I cant really complain. lol

Believe me, I understand, I have one just for a back-up in case I lose a video card or if I'm in between purchases. I only use it for web browsing though because you can't do much of anything else with it unless you're using a 15" or 17" monitor.

Agreed. I'm running one in my HTPC and it's great for that purpose but not at all good for gaming.
