Overclocking 3400 939

OK so I've used a mem divider (5/3, DDR333) to push the FSB to 240MHz with a 10x multiplier. Now at 2.4GHz on 1.525 volts (standard is 1.5). Is this good on air cooling with AS5?

UPDATE: Restarts on these settings. Recommendations?
 
UPDATE AGAIN: DDR volts upped to 2.7, same restart.
System:
A64 3400 939
1GB Mushkin Basic (CAS2.5)
A8V Deluxe Rev 1
400w Ultra-X
 
I think you mean S754 3400, right? 2.2Ghz 1MB Cache?

Also your PSU is pretty low end and you could use more volts on your processor, up it a notch. Get a some readings on your rails to see if your CPU is holding out though.
 
They do exist, mines at stock voltage, try to keep temps below 60c is what I always hear recommended.

What RAM are you using, Shadow? I've been trying to do that OC, 2.4GHz, but I have to use the 11x multiplier to keep the RAM happy, the mem divider on the A8V doesn't seem to help.
 
Wow, learn something new everyday. The must have been early S939s then. The only way to test your CPU max o/c is to use a RAM divider to get it out of the way, then keep pushing up, when prime 95 fails quickly, add more voltage. Repeat the process until load temps start getting near 55C, then back off.
 
lol I have an asus a8v as well, anyhow im using 2x512mb geil pc4000 so their actually running under spec. Although I wouldnt recommend them as their are 2t, which is very bad for an amd64.
 
errr yea lower the multiplier...u wanna keep the total HTT speed under 1000mhz...drop the multi to like 3x and see how high u can take ur motherboard...there is little to no loss in performance when doin this so dont worry ;)

it's a wise idea to keep it under 1000mhz. since you have a s939 3400+, i'm surprised it can do much over 800mhz.. and you mean the HT link. HTT is sorta the FSB of old :p
 
Mine runs above 1200MHz, tried lowering it to get rid of random restarts. Didn't have any effect. DDR volts don't matter, I'm using a RAM divider to keep the RAM at DDR400. Guessing my proc needs more juice? Stock is 1.5v

that's cool that your HT link goes so high. both my k8n neo and dfi nf3-250 top out around 1070
 
so would the recommendation be to up my proc volts (they were at stock)? I get random restarts.
