Here is the setup:

Abit IS7 865PE motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 2.4 with 533 fsb
Generic 512 megs PC2100 (i know i know)
Sparkle 350 watt power supply
Thermal Take Spark 7 cooling solution with rpm control

Here is what I am doing to overclock my computer currently:
150mhz bus, agp/pci locked at stock settings (option on my board), dram clocked at 150 mhz (cant change this, 1:1 with the cpu).

Overclocking it to 2.7 (150mhz) and it runs like a champ

Overclocking it to 2.8 and it will boot and runs fast, but wont run America's army (crashes out until clocked down).

Overclocking it to 2.9 and it will post but will lock up trying to boot into Windows XP

Overclocking it to 3.0 and it wont post.

What else can I do to bump it up? I know nothing about voltage tweaking or anything like that... How much could good ram help me? Heat is not an issue with this cooling solution, so stability is my only restraining factor.

My guess : Ram is limiting you.
Try increasing FSB while keeping ram lower then 1:1, at 3:2 if possible. That way you'll know if it's the cpu limiting you or it's your ram. You can do the other way around, keep your fsb the lowest but with a divider like 4:5 up your ram fsb.

i would agree, maybe having a lil faster ram, (like pc3200) doesnt have to be name brand but just faster would give u more head room

What have you seen these processors clocked up to? I think with the right ram I could at least be at 2.9 if not 3.0. 2.8 everything works but its just a little quirky with memory errors, so maybe you guys are right...
