overclocked e4300 + 8800gtx...

overclocked my e4300 to around 3.1 ghz and in combination with the 8800gtx, its only scoring around a 43,000 on 3dmark2001-SE.

those are my configurations and what not, any ideas on how to improve my pc's performance?

CPU bottleneck. The 2900 pro that I use is bottlenecked by my E4300 at 3.3GHZ.

Out of curiosity how can you tell, I figure you only having 2gb of ram would slow things down before the e4300 would.

Going from 2GB to 4Gb for my setup didn't really improve benchmarks, but my ingame menus popped up a little faster in Tabula Rasa and LoTRO, for example.

I think a 4300 with GTX would be the 4300 a bit slower as well.
