i have an ASUS A8N SLi Deluxe, A64 3200 Winnie

i have overclocked the CPU to 2.3Ghz, 230 * 10 @ 1.57v

when i check the BIOS it reports the CPU speed at 2300Mhz but ben i boot into windows every program i have tells me that CPU Speed is at 2009Mhz i have disabled Cool'n'Quiet

anyone got any idea's?

but if i set it to defaults then the system won't be overclocked and there would be no problem

Seems like asus always has these weird bugs when it comes to overclocking. I mean they have good boards, but I remember going from an A7N8X Dlx... to an Abit NF7-S rev2.0... night and day. Never bought an asus board since. Running a DFI SLI-DR now.

Check it with CPU-Z, if you havn't already.

Maybe try flashing bios? ... good luck. (i'd sell it and buy a SLI-DR or Neo4)
