i have my xp barton 2500+ set as fallows:

fsb 200
multip. 11x
vcore 1.65
spread spectrum Off

when i shut down my system overnite, and come back next day and fire it up. most of the time i have to press the reset button for it to boot up. sometimes its like the system wakes up, but it never boots. when i press the reset button it fires right up as it should. what could be causing this? am i doing something wrong or overlooking something in my settings?

thanks
maXX

the problem is your motherboard feeds the cpu default voltage at boot, then changes it after it initializes the cpu.. its sort of common with the mobiles at high freq.. look up the war mod if your interested

thank you for the reply ryuji.
what is the name of the mod i would need to look up please?
this would be something i would like to fix.

thanks
maXX

The same exact thing happens on my friend's K7N2-L. Are you running the latest BIOS?

I'm having the same problem with my mobile 2500+ on my DFI Infinity board. Running it at 12x200 at 1.675 volts. It was driving me nuts trying to figure out why it wouldn't POST half the time, but would run stable for hours in Windows. I guess this explains it. Thanks for the info!
