Overclock won't stay

I've got a K8N Neo2 Platinum and 3000+, and it just doesn't want to stay overclocked. Every time i try to overclock, when i boot into windows nothing has changed. I must be making a stupid mistake, but its starting to get on my nerves. Does anyone know how to fix this? Obviously i'm saving my settings when i change them, but it doesn't do me any good.
 
maybe its reverting to defaults, bad cmos battery ? shot in the dark but atleast im shooting ;p

that's actually exactly what I'm guessing.
 
i thought the same thing, but the cell menu keeps my settings, but it doesn't seem to apply them.
