here is what i had posted a while back.

basically, at 1.525 in bios(1.6 on mobo monitor, 1.552 in CPU_Z) i'd load at 49C at around 21C (70F) room temp.
now at 24C(76F) room temp i can't get it stable, and it loads around 51C, which is from the rise in room temp, even though not that much higher.. i even tried turning the A/C up and getting the temp back down to 21C room temp but it still loads that hot.
i hardly ever run that OC'd. i've had some hot weather, and i don't leave my AC on while i'm at work b/c of electrical costs, and when it is on, its not up that high so i've been running w/ a 233 FSB so my ram runs as fast as it can w/ slight CPU gain.
i have been doing video encoding, and needed to save some time, so i OC'd again to my 285 FSB. completely stable, so i decided to run prime, and after 2 minutes it failed......voltage up to 1.55 and failed after 5 minutes...
adventually got up to 1.65 and it still fails after 5 mintues.
i don't exactly feel safe going above that, even though i know 1.7ish and 60C is safe.
is my CPU "borken in" so to speak? past its prime?
now i can't get prime to hold at what i had before, and going far past it.....
could it be my CPU unstable b/c of temp? should i even worry since its stable in anything else i do?
since its doing this i don't think i'll be OC'ing it as far(like leave it at a 233 FSB) since i'd like to keep it for when this computer becomes a file/multimedia server.
god, i can't wait till i build my water cooling setup.... too bad i just spend $3000 on mods for my rock crawler truck.
