overclock Q6600 Help

how to overclock a q6600 to 3.2 ghz 400x8 (1600fsb) with 1:1 ram ration (DDR2800)??



Specs:
750watt psu
Q6600
Kingston low latency DDR2 ram 4-4-4-12 800MHZ ~4gig
Gigabyte GA-EX38T-DQ6 latest bios
Gigabyte Water Cooling
8800GTX
 
well you set the mult to 8 and the FSB to 400

the lowest memory can go on intel boards is 1:1, which is 400 fsb 400 x 8 = ddr2 800

so you answered your own question
 
Got CPU running at 3.2GHZ with a CPU voltage of 1.375 and 1425FSB. If i increase the CPU FREQ to 400 to make it 3.2 with 1600FSB with 1.375V CPU Voltage it crashes. The only Diff is im changing the FSB to 1600MHZ from 1425MHZ what should i do?
 
You're probably going to need to bump both your CPU voltage as well as you MCH voltage. Search on Gigabyte P965 Overclock guide by Bill Parrish. This is a VERY good guide on how to OC Gigabyte boards. It applies well to P35 boards (I used it to get to my OC).

Try to Google it, you might find one that have the same specs as your, just a hint:
you have to play around with Vcore & NB voltage.

Got stable at 3.5 with 1556FSB at 1.5Vcore everything else stock. Ram is at 389MHZ 1:1, 4-4-4-12 Timings. How can i get to to 3.6GHZ with 1600FSB?
