Heeeey. Just heard that my Q6600 at stock is a very sad thing to have, very. So ya, was hoping someone could teach me the ways of OC, since.. I know na-da. I get the impression that the settings being changed will be different for all PC's because of different hardware. I'm aiming for a 3.2/3.4 since I have a huge tower and a scythe ninja cooler attached to it.

So maybe someone can gimmie some pointers? What do to do? What's best? Maybe tell me exactly what I should input for each and every option? :) My rig is the following. By the way I noticed speed stepping through cpu-z, if it means anything. I tried looking through various guides but it's strange seeing how one guide will mention something that another didn't, so I'd prefer to get the uber help from here.

well, I aint no expert, but usually you start cranking up the FSB in the bios until it acks and then try to figure out what will un-ack it and let you go further...sometimes its CPU core voltage, sometimes its RAM voltage, sometimes its RAM timings, sometimes you need better RAM. A lot of folks find the limits of their setup with high voltages but get scared of letting the smoke out and settle for a lesser clock at sane volts.
