How do I overclock a 3400 athlon xp? Can anyboy tell me exactly whats is required to sucessfully do this?

thankyou in advance.

all you do is raise the FSB (front side bus) in the BIOS which in turn "overclocks" the CPU.

yes, and if you see unstablility, then you should raise the CPU voltages little by little to gain stability

NOTE: do not up the FSB by like 50 or something, start small at increments of around 5

Do I need to unlock it or perform any kind of phsyical alteration on the chip itself?

What is the actual speed of the 3200 barton? How far can I overclock before it gets too hot?
