Overclock 5970 question...

2 questions actually:


1. I have a swiftech 3 120mm fan rad , is that enough for i975 @ 4.3 Chipset block, and 2 5970's ( not overclocked) 800d case... 1000 watt corsair HD

I have a dual rad laying around plus a single is it absolutely necessary to add more?


2. I was using MSI after burner on my asus's EAH5970's the votage for the core seems odd... the settings goes up to 1300....xfx overvolt only 1.165 something of this nature...

whats safe?

I have a swiftech mcr320 (triple 120mm rad) and i don't think it could handle adding a gpu to the loop with my I7 @ 4.2ghz let alone 4 gpu's with acceptable temp's.

I guess it would depend on ambient temp's (26c+ here atm) but i would think you would have to at least add the dual rad to the loop. (if you have a mcr320 stackable you can just stack another triple 120mm rad on the other without modifying the loop.)

stack sounds more likely since i dont want any rads outside the case thanks ill look in to the stacker
