I just received my new DoubleSight DS-265W. It is a fairly nice display. However, my difficulties became quite apparent with regards to the over saturation of RED. I am big into gaming, more precisely playing World of Warcraft, and I really don't like the way reds look in the game. I have done my best to de-saturate the colors by using my ATI control panel... and I have been able to get the picture to look better overall, but it is not perfect.

I know that this over-saturation I have read about on these here forums plenty of times and the relation to LCD's being made to support the gimmicky WIDE GAMUT support... but alas, I haven't been able to see anyone posting about how to fix this problem with games?

Is there a way to make your games support the WIDE GAMUT colors of LCD that have this new technology?

Not sure if I am wording this completely right so bare with me.

Hope to hear back from you ultra enthusiasts!

No. This is the downfall of widegamut screens.

I got best results by lowering the saturation to 83-85% and then using hardware calibrator to get proper gamma and color temperature values, and then forcing them on (games tend to reset them) with some program like Monitor Calibration Wizard. Calibration only fixes the color acciracy for color managed programs, but just having proper color temperature and gamma combined with saturation reduction already makes the picture so much better, even reds. (though bright reds still have some tendency to go maroon)
