over clocking by 9 mzh causes lower temp?

I just over clocked my cpu by uping the fsb by 9mzh now my temps are 8c lower on the idel and load? Should I keep my system at this speed ? I'm running T1 3,3,3,8 .
 
did you recently update your bios? it could have been reading the temps wrong before...this issue makes no sense, so i wouldnt bother to analyze it too much
 
It"s strange but I wrote about this after trying the normal then the over clock speeds about 10 times but the 3 cans of red bull might of be a factor too. :D
 
I've actually had the same thing back on my Asus P4C800 Board, overclocking = lower temps and that's was with both diode and physical measuring! The universe still has unsolved mysteries i guess =)
 
Only 3 cans ? hey next time drink 24 cans and post your results
 
Yo dude. i have had similar experiences. Except i raised vcore by 0.2v and oc'd 300Mhz and temps were a good 5c cooler on idle and load. Now im using water. So not much of an issue
 
with a really old bios one of my comps starts to drop in temp as i run prime95s max heat test. it just keeps droping until it goes past the min limit and then goes blank.
 
I just noticed a cap on my mother board was not soldered too good, I just fixed it but now at normal speed it idles at 35 and max out at 52 load under prime after 3 hours.
But if I over clock by 9 mzh It reads 29 then climbs to 47 and stays there, but If I clock any higher, I get a 1c for every 6 or so more mzh. Oh and by the way dose any one have a cheap or know wher to get a cheap fan bus with temp display with probes ?
