My current video card has just bit the dust.
I've not been keeping up with the recent changes in GPUs and I need some advice. I'm looking for a card that can last me a year or so and is wihtin the price range of about $300 max. I'm not really that interested in getting something low end and OC/Unlock it into a higher end card. Thats sorta kinda how this card died.
No attachment to ATI or nvidia, I could care less which I get as long as its a decent card. I'm primarily a gamer so I don't need an AIW or anything like that. I'd like to be able to play Source games and BF2 and the like and not have too much to worry about.
I've got a CRT so a VGA connector would be nice. AGP only as well. Currently running a AMD64 3000+ Newcastle and Abit KV8 Pro with 2 512 sticks of PC 3200 DDR ram. I forget exactly what it is but I've got one of the TruPower PSUs. I think its in the range of 400-500. For the life of me I can't honestly remember what it is. If you need any other information just ask, I'll be happy to provide but I think thats about all you need in terms of system setup.
