Outlook 2007 problems

Hi everyone, been a while. :D

First, here are my basic specs: Windows 2007 64 bit, Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

Outlook 2007 has worked flawlessly for 4 years: sending/receiving email.
Then suddenly about a month ago, I went to send an email.
Normally I send and close: click, click done!
However now when I click send, and go to close the program
I get this white warning box saying:
Do you want to continue to send, Outlook will close in 30 seconds

So that's new...and annoying. I used to get a gold envelop icon
in my system tray - sent instantly, no questions asked.
I would like to fix this.
Does anyone know why this new problem showed up???
If so, how do I fix it. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

Hmmmm just noticed something I missed. I moused over the "white envelope" in the system tray
after I sent an email, and it said, "Synchronizing Folders" wtf ? :D

Great idea. I'll try that next...thanks for your help and the links. I'll let you know.
