outlook 2003 won't send my mails

i connected my outlook today with my gmail account. i recieve all the mails taht i has in my gmail inbox but whenever i try to send a email it gives me an error.

task'pop.gmai.com-sending reported error (0x800ccc78) : unable to send the message. please verify the email address in your accoung propertied. the server responded: 530 5.5.1 authentication required h18sm9267255wxd

authentication required? this was part of office and i authenticated everthing and i;m sure my email in propertie is right cause i can recieve all the emails.

can anyone hlep me?
