out of frequency

i have a Geforce FX 5200 PCI card and i wanted to OC it. i got coolbits and i went in and tried to OC it. as soon as i tried the screen turned black and a screen poped-up and said "Out Of Frequency". i think it might be because of my monitor...but idk:confused: any help would be appreciated
 
Try powerstrip for overclocking. It controls many things besides the videocard (like the monitor frequency and desktop settings).
