Ok so I ordered a bigger monitor and my desk doesn't exactly go with it. Moved my PC and now my sound will not do 5.1 unless I select 7.1 in the sound options.
I have tried the older driver that worked and the new one no dice. I don't have a side pair and the only way to get the rear speakers to work is setting it to 7.1. The front speakers play the side channel with that setting tho.
This happened once before and the fix was to install the older drivers, because I had updated them. This time it does not work.
System specs:
Intel i5 3350p
ASrock z77 pro 3 mobo
8 gb Mushkin Blackline DDR3 1600 ram
EVGA gtx 970 video card
PC Power and Coooling psu 750 watt
Kingston 128 gb SSD for my OS
WD 1 tb for everything else
Thermaltake Element G case
5.1 Logitech speakers. Can't remember the model tho.
Yes I did double check the connections on the back and on the sub where the speakers hook up to if anyone asks.
