I've watched Benito: The Rise and Fall of Mussolini - 307 mins long...

"Award-winning actor Antonie Banderas stars in this gripping tale of the deadly rise of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Rising quickly from within the ranks of the socialist party, Mussolini became local chief of the Italian Socialist Party at a young age, where he developed his instinct for power and his talent for intrigue as he played off various sections of the left against each other.

His dangerous rise to power ultimately played out against the backdrop of World War I and gave rise to a new and frightening government - Fascism. While the pacifists in the party pressed for neutrality, Mussolini turned his back on his ideal and allowed himself to be bought by the conservative government. The former antiwar campaigner-turned-opportunist revoked his opposition to the war and suddenly found himself on his own - and at the brink of collapse..."

A good movie to boot if you have 5 hours and some to boot :)

Just thought I would share were all :D

So was the movie sympathetic to this brutal dictator?

    Thanks for the review.

No it wasn't sympathetic at all, just an overview of the struggle and how he changed, himself and these around him. And the changes that occurs over time... It's quite good movie, give it a chance and you will be sitting through it even though most of it's talking, it's captivating...
    And...

There're some sex scenes as well...You know you want it...

Gotta love the smack talk. I can feel the love.

In the interest of our very loose rules here, I am going to side with caution. This thread is just a bit too OT for DC. Take it to Genmay, and if you don't have a Genmay sub, you know how to get one. :D
