Doesn't surprise me. I figured Apple would fall first. Security through obscurity can't last forever.

I'd like to know if things like IE7Pro and NoScript/Adblock Plus would have prevented IE8 and Firefox from being hacked though because it sounds like they were just vanilla installs.

There was a story at [H] last year about how Apple is beating Microsoft in the OS market. Yep, beating them by having more security holes in their OS.
