OSX in ESXi VM?

Is it possible to run OSX inside a ESXi 4.1 VM? I see it being done with Workstation but can't find any solid guides on this. I know that ESXi 5 supports OSX with apple hardware.

Not "officially" possible in ESXi 4.1, but Google can lead to magical answers...

There are ways and means... I thought I'd avoid any extra effort by upgrading to 5.0 but I can't get OS X Lion to install on ESXi 5.0 without any extra effort - trying to install always ends up hanging on a grey screen with an Apple logo. Googling was required...

I got this working with 10.5 on ESXi 4.1 but it is kinda slow, at least with VNC.

It is possible to place OSX onto ESXi 4.1 but it is really a pain... trust me...
Your best approach is what some people on this thread mentioned to use ESXi 5.0.
I have tested OSX 10.5/10.6/10.7 on ESXi 5.0 and it works without any problems.

Google is your friend... It is insanely fun when you have a mac VM

Are you using VNC to connect to the VM via VMware, or are you runing directly to the Host? If directly to the host, are you using the built in screen sharing or a standalone vnc host?

Vnc to vm, I enabled the built in vnc server and connect with tight vnc.
