OSs upgrade this fall..?

[eckndu]

i would like to know more about upgrading new OS that will be coming out this fall.

first, how do i prove myself that i own leopard and vista, to buy an upgrade copy? i have a mac that comes with leopard, so this is easy to prove, but my vista, i brought it in a box and i dont have it anymore. all i have left is the original disks, and a serial #.

now if in the future, i have to reinstall an OS, do i have to put the leopard/vista disk first and then upgrade it to snow/7 every time?

unless they fix the "glitch" that was in Vista, you can do a "trial" install of Win7, then re-install with the cd key and get a full working version.

If the "glitch" is fixed, you will only be able to install Win7 if there is an existing install of Vista, and the Win7 install will upgrade/overwrite the Vista install.
