Yeh dunno if this is the place to ask but been toying around with trying to install OS X on my PC to see if I would want to "switch". I got a "copy" and now just need direction on how to get this "copy" to load on my AMD machine.

I would seek out the masters at
OSX86
Check the forums and the Wiki
-just make sure you at least have SSE2
Also speaking from expirience, OSx86 ROCKS - its crazy fast and I commonly use it more than windows (except for games :D)

I just noticed you have dual core so your going to have to disable 1 core otherwise you will get hardcore lag - its pretty easy to do

Cool thanks for the link. I'm excited to see OS X run.

Sorry for the noobish question but what is SSE2?

SSE2

CPU-Z - on the main page tells you what instructions your cpu supports

You dont need to worry because you fully support it (i just didnt read your sig right)

I played around with Tiger x86 when I had a 915G computer last yeat. It's easy to install from the installation DVD using the guides and it worked pretty well.

You can buy an Intel-based (Core Solo) Mac mini for only $599 if you feel a bit guilty about downloading OSX. ;) Considering the hardware you get and the tiny form factor, it's a pretty decent deal. With Boot Camp you can dual that system with Windows XP easily. AOpen's mini PC systems are more expensive and much slower and i'm tired of waiting for other mini clones so maybe i'll end up with a Mac in a few months.

That actually sounds like a good idea. I just made a website for around that price and a mac would be kinda nice to have. Would the mini be able to support 1680x1050 rez?
