I'm going to be buying a new computer soon and I was wondering if someone could tell me how to install a new OS onto the blank HD or if there's a way I can just copy the OS i'm using on this computer to the new hard drive?

Hit delete or F1 or whatever is required to boot into the bios.
Tell the bios to boot to a cd.
When it says "press any key to boot from cd" press a key
It will eventually get to a screen asking you to install it.
Select the hard drive you want to install it to and follow the directions.
It's very simple.

Just take your time through each screen, and read the questions. It's very simple, so you'll be fine.
