I was at Zion Natl. Park this past weekend and took this one, 15s @ f/1.4 with a Sigma 30mm

Looks nice. I've been meaning to take pictures of the stars, moon, etc., but my brother in law was borrowing our tripod. I finally got it back!

Very nice shot so did you piggy back your camera on a scope? Also did you use a flash to illuminate the rock formation? I have been planning on getting up that way but, havent quite made it. I want to hit up Rainbow Bridge too. Now you have motivated me to head up that way.

The rock formation is a pretty big cliff off on the horizon. It was close to sunrise, so I just did a long exposure, no extra lighting. No scope either, just manual focus and hoped for good results. At f/1.4 I'm surprised I hit it.

No no no, I don't mean like that... I shoot in RAW myself, and do my own WB, tone, and whatnot..

I'm talking about like HDR and stuff.. I don't get in to extremely edited "fantasy" shots

So that pick is nice because that was the real exposer, not 2 or 3 combined.

Man, that sucks =( I rented an SLR drybag and just took 1 lens for the narrows
