Original Xbox release in South Korea

Hey all, was wondering if you could help me out. It's a stretch as I know most people here are Americans. Specifically looking for South Koreans that were gaming when the Xbox was released there. Couple of questions:
1. Did you buy one?
2. What compelled you to buy one?
3. Why did you not buy one?

Off topic, but always wanted to ask. How much do those 27" 1440p monitors go for in South Korea that are all the rage here on Ebay? Like this one. I just linked the first one I saw.

When I was in korea you could get a xbox but it was modded. Not too many people bought them at the time cuz the 360 and PS3 had been out for a little while. So most people got 360s or PSPs modded.

This was back in 06-07 when I was there for my year tour.
