Back story: I bought Madden 17 for Xbox One during a recent sale. Literally every game mode, except a quick/exhibition game, is walled off unless you sign in with an Origin account. Problem is, it's prompting me to sign in with an email address that's not mine, and there's no option to change it.

Actual question: Researching this says I need to contact Origin support to have them remove the account, but I've sat in the chat queue for probably an hour spanned across three days and never get anyone. I don't see any alternative option like email or phone. Does anyone know if I can do one of those, and where/how?
 
It should default to the e-mail attached to your Xbox Live account. Is that e-mail address up-to-date? If you had setup the Origin account previously it also may be a possibility that it has been compromised. You could possibly find out for sure if you install Origin on your PC and try to sign in with your account there.

A quick search shows that the Origin support number is (866) 543-5435 in the US, but this was posted in 2012. They may have switched support to online only.

This useless Reddit post could possibly provide a miracle.
 
I can login to my Origin account just fine, it's under my primary gmail address, same as my gamertag. The one that Madden asks me to sign in with isn't mine and I can't select another one. I guess my XBL gamertag is tied to the wrong Origin account?

I'll try turning off adblock and then try that number tonight. Thanks.

Edit: Or not, ETA on the chat is 55 minutes right now... maybe later?
 
^It's somehow linked to the wrong account, though, and I can't change it from the Xbox side (the only side I can login to).

I am trying the chat thing again right now, the ETA dropped down to 1 minute and I've got adblock off and popups enabled... fingers crossed.

Edit: No dice... I think I'll forego the $20 I spent on the game. I've put several hours into this by now. Oh well.

That sucks, not sure why it's giving you so much grief. I had to relink it once or twice before and didn't seem to have any issues doing it. I might be able to take a look at this tomorrow and see what can be done for future inquiries.
