Am I making any mistakes, I'm about to spend the $...

This PC will be used for general purposes i.e. Web Browsing and backing up DVD's and CD's, some gaming (COD4 and Battlefield 2142,) and as a "tech bench."

I do plan to overclock the Q6600, and I'm searching for a Coolink GFXChilla for the HD 4850 as it appears that they run on the hot side.

Get the Q6600 at Frys.com and the Corsair TX750 at Buy.com.

You won't need CrossFire for your 22 inch LCD. But other than that, the motherboard is fine. (If you want to save some money on the board, consider the DK P35-T2RS instead.)

I believe that the Samsung SH-S203B performs better and runs more quietly than the Pioneer DVR-215DBK.

Parts selection looks great. Just be careful about using it as a tech bench PC. I have had severe problems using my desk top PC as the “fix my customer pc” and my "personal/gaming rig". Currently I have built a cheap $250 rig for customer PC’s so when I have a problem it is easy to fix and do not have to worry about my data or having to reload all programs/patches and re-customizing all of the personal settings. Maybe it’s just my luck, but better safe than sorry.

What features do you need in a motherboard? I agree with tiraides that you don't need Crossfire for a 22" LCD. So, to recommend a better board for your needs, we need to know your needs.
