Or best option to go with? 2nd puter I'm using a GT 9500 512 ...Mainly play Halo PC Combat Evolved online with guys..Will this accelerate it some? Like Nvidia as well-Big Maps I bogg down with 67 ping

If the only game you play is Halo, then, which came out in 2003, there is not reason for you to spend money on a new graphics card.
 
You would not believe how demanding Halo 1 is on system-Have to cut everything off to get high framerates..Will be playing offline GTA-Crysis-Warhead etc..Know online its ping versus power but even CE pushes it bit. Antialias off etc..Low Setting think its coding
 
What resolution do you play at? A 4870 is a little faster than the 5770 at higher resolutions. If you're just playing old games, it might be worth a look because they can be had for pretty cheap these days.
 
A new videocard won't improve your ping, which is a measurement of the network latency between you and the server. Get a 4870, it would be a cheap performance boost for halo, which runs like ass due to poor coding optimization for the PC. Is English your second language?
 
English first trying to type and answer phone calls (business lines) LoL=Not much on typing on this D.m MS new kb..
 


Servers in UK I believe so every bit you can get helps..I'm in Southern US.
