not a big fan of the case but all looks well. most will tell you that amd will better suit your needs. is that ram necessary. the pc3200 value is 100.00 cheaper.
 
If you're building your computer for games, I'd go AMD over Intel.

Also you can get the 3200+ 90nm and overclock it with stock cooling to near the 3500+ speeds.

If you buy your parts for different websites, you could save money on almost all of them and spend it elsewhere.

(If you want PCIe, ZipZoomFly has the A8N-SLI for $199).
 
^^^^^^^^agreed, for gaming, get an a64 (better cooling too, prescotts are HOT!!!!)

its not a good case, i have read some reviews and its good

i need that ram cuz my mobo is ddr2

amd's run a lot cooler then intel?
 
The idea that AMDs run cooler than intel is accepted right now due to the temps some of these prescotts are giving off, but even with the Intel Stock Cooler I do not believe you will have a problem.

I will warn you those Thermaltake cases are heavy and over the top, but if you like it I see nothing wrong with it, as I have heard their cooling is quite good.

Everything else looks fine, you will not be utilizing the full potential of that RAM unless you o/c of course, but you will have headroom to upgrade to a 1066FSB solution if you wish.

Seems like you are going to be cutting edge, at least for Intel
 
AMD's are cooler than Intel.

And if you go the AMD route, you'll save a bunch of money because you won't need DDR2.

If you use Froogle, Pricewatch, or Pricegrabber, you can find cheaper prices including shipping (on some of the parts).

Then use ResellerRatings to check the websites.
 
will i see a too much performance diff. between 10K and 7K hard drive?

and what does 10K hd improve over the 7k?

The only thing I dont hvae on there is the case in which i am picking up from my job. So add $75 more bucks to that and I already have a floppy laying around and there you go. The ram was the only thing I am still worried about but I hope I can overclock well for me, I am not planning to go Oc crazy though.

It improves seek time and data transfers...therefore it makes it faster ;)

that is nice, i was thinking to get the same thing with SLI and put two 6600GT's in it

but i think i will stick with intel
