ordered topower 900W PSU, got 1100W instead?

So I ordered a 900W Topower from Newegg last week, the box of the PSU says 900W, but the model number on the actual unit says TOP-1100W DVT.

Is it the 1100W model?
 
The Topower power supply lineup has a 900 and 1100 watt psu on the same series, so most likely yours is a 900watt variant of the 1100 watt series.
The best way to know for sure is to calculate the wattage (watts = volts x amperage) calculate this from the chart of voltages on the power supply box.

Personally i thin topower makes just run of the mill power supplies. I would prefer a Pc power and cooling over a topower any day. They at least market their power supplies properly. (You actually get the wattage the power supply is rated for, unlike almost all other manufacturers of power supplies, which lie tremendously on power supply output wattage)

The OP is aware of the two different models, but the one he got is labeled with the model number for the 1100W version even though he ordered the 900W version. That's where the confusion is here.

Also, Topower makes pretty good PSUs. This lineup in particular is damn good, and the 900W model got a gold award from [H], which is no small feat.

Well the Powerbirds are really new and the units I got had the exact same packaging with just a sticker on the outside that said 900w or 1100w on the front (you can see it in the reviews). So if I were to guess, someone stocking parts at Newegg messed up because of the similarity.
 
yea, now that i'm looking at all the places where there are stickers, i'm thinking that someone put the 1100W sticker on my 900W. whatever, great PSU.
