This is the Tuniq

Who else has one?....I used to have a zalman 9700 and hopefully ill get better temps w/ this.

p.s should i replace the stock fan?

I have one its big.

I've replaced the fan due to the Tuniq's being super noisy.

im using the scythe infinity and it dropped me 12-15c from stock, only thing is its HUGEE and a pain in the but to mount...i was going to get that cooler you are read good reviews on it

sorry to tell you but you probably wont notice much difference in temps..

maybe a bit

The Tuniq is quite a bit better than the Zalman 9700. I would expect around a 5C decrease in temps at least.

How much better is the Tuniq Tower than the BigTyphoon? I have the original BigTyphoon ghetto-mounted on my socket AM2 motherboard, and I'm looking around for a better solution (the mounting rig I threw together doesn't put enough pressure on the core, so the BT isn't working as well as it should)

OP, any reason not getting TRUE for like $16 more on same site and cheaper elsewhere? I mean everyone knows TRUE is the best one currently.

I would be careful with the Tuniq. It's a bitch to install, and you might run into some trouble where the Tuniq's fan hits the little 40cm (I think) fan that you can attach to the NB. Did I mention it was a bitch to install?

Its definitely a bitch... Btw guys, I have an ABIT IP35 pro motherboard. For some reason, i cant fit the tuniq tower fan cord to the motherboard.. is there a way to put it on or do you guys use the manual control thing?

u can either get an extension or connect it directly to your CPU, or u can use the supplied fan controller

do i ned to take my mobo out?

Definitely need to remove it...to put the backplate. Once its firmly stuck in the back of your mobo you can even mount the Tower 120 while the mobo is the system, provided your case has space. I have remounted the Tuniq numerous times, removing my GPU and shifting my PSU only to make a bit of breathing space. Remember ALWAYS turn in the 4 screws a little bit at a time to make proper contact and avoid warping your mobo. Basically its simple provided you follow the instructions right and have a lot of patience.

I have a Abit IP35-E and i have had no prob with the power connector of the Tuniq. The 'maroon' 3-pin fan connector fits justs right on the mobo's 4pin base and the 'white' 2-pin connector of the Tuniq goes to the Rheostat for fan speed regulation.

I bought a Tuniq for my new build. I found the tuniq very easy to install. Slap the backplate on your motherboard and tighten the thumb screws ... really how hard is that? Im at 3.6 on my E6750 right now getting about 55 on load. I wasn't all that impressed with the 120mm man that comes with it, so I may replace it at a later date.

I bought a Tuniq when I built my rig in August of last year. It has been amazing. Yes, the TRUE 120 is a little better, but the Tuniq works for me.
