I want to know if i should use Raid 1 or 0. I just want windows and programs to load as fast as possible, i do alot of web browsing and gaming if there is one better than that...thanks!

RAID 0 is blazing fast with the right drives.

However, I am moving away from RAID 0 right now. I don't like how vulnerable my data is. And after my experience with SATA RAID 0 I would have to say it is still in the infant stage of computing. To me it is best to have your system on one IDE drive than spread across 2 SATA drives in RAID 0. Just safer, that's all.

well all my files are backed up on my ipod and CDs so if it crashed all i would loose is my bookmarks and maybe savegames...

Raid 0 really won't help the home user at all. It might help load times in winxp when it reorders the file reads for quicker booting. But for general use raid 0 is a total waste. It's mainly an e-penis factor of about 8.

I tend to go by a general rule of thumb if you don't know what raid level you need, you don't need raid at all.
