ordered a new psu, good choice?

I've had an enermax whisper 350watt psu powering my system for a while but at random times, mostly right after starting a game(sims 2, gta:sa, hl2, etc) the computer will just power off. i decided to order a new psu.
I should have an Antec True Power 2.0 430watt coming this week. hopefully that will fix all my problems i hope i made a good choice on it though. here is what its gonna be powering.

Motherboard: Epox 8rda+
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 2400+
Memory: 2x512mb elixir DDR-333mhz pc2700
Videocard: ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128mb DDR
Harddrive: Maxtor 80GB 7200rpm ata/133
Western Digital 30GB 7200rpm ata/100
CDROM: Pioneer DVD-ROM 16x
TDK 840G 8x DVDR/RW

i plan on upgrading everything after sometime...... but not for a little while since i've got a baby coming in april.

For the particular configuration you have now... That's a horrible choice.

Unlike any motherboard made today, your CPU's power is regulated by the 5V rail.

The TP II has two 12V rails. One of which is doing nothing more than supplying juice to the motherboard via a 2x2 connector. A connector your motherboard doesn't use.

And because of the "low overall wattage. High 12V capability" nature of that power supply, that unit has a very low combined 3.3V+5V. Your CPU alone is going to need 15A on the 5V rail, your AGP card and memory have a high 3.3V demand.

well, like i said, i'll be upgrading sometime to an athlon 64 setup of some kind and a pci-e card.

ok, the psu i have now is rated at:

3.3v: 32a
5v: 32a
12v: 17a


the new one i have on order is rated at:

3.3v: 28a
5v: 35a
12v1: 17a
12v2: 17a


so what is the problem gonna be?

If you didn't have any problems due to lack of power before... then probably none!

It's hard to say without knowing the 3.3V+5V combined wattage for both the Enermax and Antec, but by just looking at those number, I'd say you'll probably just break even.
