Well, after about 3 years of wanting one, I've finally ordered a 30 gig Video Ipod, should be here on the 9th! I can't wait to put all my music on this thing and some videos!
 
before carrying it with you or anything buy a good case, i had mine for like 2 months before i got one, worst thing i could have done

True that. My screen is all scratched up from me taking it in and out of my pocket etc. A case would have been nice when I first got mine

yup the included headphones are terrible, and besides, if youre going to make such an investment, you might as well get some decent earbuds
 
Well, got my iPod in today, I cant even begin to describe how awesome this thing is.

Awesome! I just bought one on Monday too. 30GB Video. And a case, and the Apple in-ear headphones. I know they aren't the best headphones in the world, but they sure kick the crap out of the regular earbuds. And only $35 too. :)

I can't wait for it to come!

I just left the plastic thingie on mine...cut the tail flap off. That is keeping it nice and scratch-free until the new 5th gen cases show up.

Learned my lesson from my 4th gen
 
Yeah, I like the way my engraving turned out. Plus, the 2 day shipping got it from China to Kansas in about 40 hours.
 
Where did you order it from in China? Was it a lot cheaper?

I want to order one in South Africa, but the price is SO much more than any other Apple online store.

Yup, ordered online on Wed. morning then received mine on Friday morning from Shanghai, China.
 
omg, I just ordered a 30 gig iPod video too. Should be here next week, just shipped today.
 
i love my ipods (4G 20 GB black & white, 1 GB shuffle), but i wish i never got my initials engraved on mine. i wouldnt mind selling it to get the new 5G 60 GB, but i would have a tougher time selling it. oh well, when they are ALL flash based, i'll get the 100 GB version, whenever that is!
