whats the chances of me getting dead pixels I'v seen alot of cases with people getting them how bad are they, mine should be here tomorrow I didnt have any on my vp171b so I dont know what its like
 
Chances are you'll have a one or two. Most people get a couple just because there a so many pixels on the screen it seems hard to get a perfect panel. You'll know what they look like when you see it. There should be a dead pixel test program in the FAQ at the top of this forum.

Mine came with 2 dead pixels and a third has died since then.
 
I ordered and recieved mine not too long ago and got 0 dead pixels, and the backlight problem seems to have been fixed (from what I have seen)
 
oh, i find if theyre in the middle they suck. Catching a glimpse of one of the ones in the middle while you gaming or just browsing the web really annoys me. The one I have toward the side of the panel I never notice. While watching movies as long as your like 3 feet away you won't notice them.
 
If you ordered it from Dell, they have a good dead pixel program. Virtually the warranty guarantees no dead pixels, so you have to get it from Dell.
 
I got mine from a guy that got it with a dell system it has a 1 year warranty but I think I need the system to for it to work the monitor was never used or tooking out of the box he sold it as soon as he got it
