When I setup my overclock, should I tighten ram timings as much as possible and then work on boosting the cpu FSB, or visa versa?

Kingston Valueram PC3200 1gig and P4 2.8C

I don't think timings will get that tight with that ram anyways so go for fsb first.

Intel CPUs are less influenced by timings. Loosent the timings and work for higher FSB.

Ok that's what I tried initially, how much more of a performance boost would I get out of say the hardcore Corsair ram if i was too sell this stuff and get that. Does memory timings make a noticable difference? And how much do you think it'll help me boost my FSB

well, if you got really high rated RAM (PC4000 and higher) you could definitely get ur FSB higher...you would see a slight performance boost with better timings, but nothing like a FSB boost...
