Well obviously the pump isn't gunna dump 100 watts in the water.Cathar said:Yes - but remember that the CPU block is doing that regardless - so what's really important here is what's raising the temperature of the water between the radiator and the CPU waterblock inlet. In the above case - the only difference is the pump. The actual difference for the CPU is more like 0.05C if you put the pump before, rather than after, the CPU block.
