for now you dont pay taxes if you buy out of state, but the feds saw this, and all the revenue they arent getting and are now trying to pass a bill thru congress taxing all internet transactions within the country. they just have to get their hands into every pocket. weather or not this bill will pass i have no idea, i would vote NO but we will have to see. im also not sure how they plan to do this. what about international sales? and tracking sales tax in almost completely unregulated inter-web-space? how is that going to work?

Here in NC you are supposed to record how much you spent on goods not bought in NC and pay taxes on that by April 15th. Yeah, that actually happens.

Here in Montana, there's no sales tax. Because of this, our income taxes are a bit higher. Having to pay an internet tax would be like getting taxed twice for the same thing for us.

try living in connecticut, not only do we get 30% strait off the top of paychecks for state/federal taxes, have 6% sales tax on everything, highest gas prices in the country, but have to pay again local state and federal taxes once a year. we have to pay for everything about 4 times over.
