Optiscaler Frame Generation Glitch

Been playing around with Optiscaler on my new pc (Arc b580 gpu) a bit and while it works fine letting me convert dlss to xess for upscaling, I'm running into a weird issue with frame generation. When I enable it, it seems to work but also seems to force some m/kb input at all times which means that if I want to use a controller the interface keeps switching to kb/m from controller icons (though using the controller works fine) and any time there is some sort of "press any key to continue" prompt it automatically triggers it. This is most apparent in FF7 Rebirth where icons correspond to last button pressed, but likely affects other titles as well.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with this and/or any ideas how to fix it. I don't typically like FG on principal, but it would be nice at 4k for less reflex based games.
