Hello.

I just ordered the ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe. I want to take a XP2500 to 3200. Is Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - OEM the best choice from a quality/cost standpoint? Would 3500 be better? I want to play new games and multitask, surf, burn video, record TV.

Thanks very much for your feedback.

Speed only really matter when u oc...if u have faster ram, ur oced status will run better on that ram than on a 3200...taking note of the ram ratio...

So 3200 v. 3500 really only lends to stability in an overclocked status?

a 3200+ uses a 200MHz FSB
PC3200 runs stable at 200MHz

if you wanna OC even more, like to a 215 FSB, then you might want PC3500 since it runs stable at 217MHz. you want to match your memory to the OC you plan on going for.

(and you dont need Mushkin Level II memory to run at 3200+ speeds with perfect timings. that RAM is an endangered species so leave it for the ppl that really need it). :D

And if you havent noticed.. BH5 is gone... Mushkin is rare and ... well i ts RARE

Read waht is said

No more bh5 chips left and mushkins l2 is rare

Meaning their will be no more ram modules made but their are some mushking suppliers left

I love my Mushkin lvl 1 pc3200
Got my fsb to 220, 1:1 for 3080 on a new 2.8c no problem.
Now I kind of wished I had sprung for the lvl 2;)

Well i guess the new BH-6 stuff is alright... it isnt capable of 3.3v's like ppl r puttin in to them.

But i guess it clocks better than CH-5
