Optimized for Multiple Cores

So I will have finished building my new Quad rig by the end of this week and I wanted to know what are some programs that are optimized for multiple cores (including 4). Oh and if its free thats even better

So... what kind of programs are you looking for? Doesn't make much sense just to ask for programs that use multiple cores... What do you need to do?

I'll pitch in and ask what 3-d modeling software utilize all four cores? I was looking at Blender3d but apparently quad core is not supported. Can anyone suggest such a 3-d modeling program?
