What should be changed as far as configs and whatnot when switching from a crt to lcd?

Also, I've heard that most lcds perform and look better at 60hertz for the refresh rate?

bump, I also have just recieved a new LCD. being native too CRTs I would also like to know some optimizations for my new monitor.

Yeah, I would also like some advise as I am getting a 2005FP on Thurs(est ship) for Gaming and Other normal stuff.

Since LCDs have perfect screen geometry, there is really little to "optimize."

60 Hz refresh on an LCD will not (some might disagree) produce interlacing, so it's fine.

It really boils down to personal preference as to color warmth or coolness, brightness, etc.

Nothing really to optimize. If you can use DVI, use it..DVI produces a better picture than Sub-D....Also you could turn on Cleartype fonts in windows XP...

Already running through dvi and using cleartype thanks

Things alot brighter than my crt even at 100% while this thing was at 8o%
