As part of my uni course I have to enter data from hundreds of questionnaires into a spreadsheet for analysis. The questionnaires are mostly in the form of circling one option from around five different answers. At the moment I am doing this all by hand but I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good free opticial mark recognition programme I could use with a 'standard' scanner to do this job for me. Googling shows quite a few programmes but being new to this I was hoping to hear from someone with experience in this type of work. thanks

bump for this, I'd be interested if there's any decent free OCR software available also
