I'm planning on switching over from a big full-size ATX tower to a Qpack. I just can't stand to have a huge 60+ pound behemoth under my desk anymore. I'm planning to reuse most of my stuff, cept for the motherboard, of course. Anyways, I have a Toshiba DVD(DL) writer that's about 7.5 inches long I was hoping to use... Will this fit inside a Qpack? And if not, what do you guys recommend for a replacement?
 
if your going to use the stock powersupply it will fit

if however your going to full size powersupply then it should still work with right angle molex connectors.

yeah.. my optical drives wouldn't fit with the full-sized PSU even when i put on the low-profile molex connectors. i broke down and bought a liteon DL DVD +-RW from directron (we're both in TX so UPS gets here <=2 days).

it fits great
 
yeah the lite-on is nice..I didn't think it would be but I am glad I got it. A little loud at times but no biggy
 
I have a BenQ 1640 and some kind of Lite-On CDR/DVD combo. The BenQ is a short drive and the Lite-On is even a tad shorter.
 
The Lite-On really IS as large as you want to go with a full-sized ATX PSU. If for no other reason than cable management from the PSU.
