haven't tried lower vcore yet :D

So far best 1M clock/time

room temp a bloody hot 32C right now hehe

All details are in above links but it's Corsair Hydrocool 1/4" tubed water cooling

room temp 27-32C

Cooled with Corsair Hydrocool 200 Water

you know you'd probably get waay better thermal dissipation with a different watercooling setup...but either way you still get good clocks....good job hopefully when i get the rest of my machine i'll oc the crap out of my CABYE opty with my custom WC setup.

nothing like 3.0Ghz : drool :

yeah re-doing my custom 1/2" tubed water cooling setups so hydrocools are temporarily :)

Wow..1.3v at 2.8. Good stuff. Looks like the cab2e did the best, though that's a big jump in vcore for an extra 400mhz to 3.2

How did you choose to set the vcore when you were running 3172? Did up incrementally raise it, set it to auto (let your mobo decide), or just picked a number out of a hat? Also, which interval from 2.8 to 3.2 gave you the biggest barrier between higher clock speeds at same vcore? Details please! :)

i live in australia too, and ive been looking for retailers that sell the CABNE's and CABYE's

could you tell me where you got those from?

AMD64 3.1ghz barrier seems ideal @1.536-1.568v for me on this CAB2E 0540FPMW.

if you read the above threads i use memtest to test each vcore and cpu clocking stage and from my experience what vcore you need in memtest = +0.05 to 0.10v more in windows and then i adjust from there to find ideal vcore in windows

arman01 i got my first CABYE 4 cpus from www.pluscorp.com.au and this CAB2E from www.auspcmarket.com.au

seems also umart.net has CAB2E before

hey thanks eva...

auspcmarket are advertising them as "overclocking" chips....im about to drop $265 for one of these, and pay by bank deposit...

do you think it would be worth the upgrade over my winchester 3000 at 2.25Ghz ??

EDIT:
i just ordered a 146 from www.auspcmarket.com.au , for $264 AUD , i hope its a CAB2E or CABNE.....*crosses fingers*
:D

yeah worth the upgrade for sure..

nice and fast - this is 2nd highest single 7800GTX score i've done @3ghz besides using FX-57

1X BFG 7800GTX stock heatsink air @513(564)/1386 with HeavyH20 rev4 bios

Do you get those high clocks in a case? All I see nowadays are people with all the gear on a box and not inside a case. I would like to see real world OC's in a case and useable or do you plan on throwing it in a case once you are done? I know it's easier having it out of the case when your mucking around with it and all.

Nice CPU's too :)

haven't used a case in over 2yrs even my 24/7 running file server with 5x250GB hdd raid 5 is run off a mobile office utility trolley LOL

broke my old high score of 20,061 easily!

depends order from best to worst for me

146 CAB2E 0540FPMW
146 CAYBE 0540FPAW
146 CAYBE 0540FPBW
146 CAYBE 0540FPMW
144 CAYBE 0536GPMW
146 CAYBE 0536GPMW
144 CAB2E 0540FPMW

yeah, CAB2E seems to be a lot of luck :D

most impressive though eva, your luck seems to hold strong :p

I was very fortunate as well and got one of the 146 CAYBE 0540FPAW. Easily hit over 3.0 ghz on water and even in a older set up. (Neo2Plat w terrible Vcore fluxuation) with the DFI I have and some of my newer hardware with the water cooling I should be plenty stable @ 3.1 to 3.2 ghz. 24/7 and whith my single stage or dual casacde phase I should be right at 3.5ghz no prob. I really like my 146 alot. But Very Nice Eva!!!! I like the collection..

DI probably too cold for opterons

BH-5 vs TCCD

Well finally cracked 23m with winbond BH-5 ram and still have room to move :D As you can see from the times BH-5 was +20mhz faster equivalent at same clocks as TCCD i.e. 3102mhz BH-5 = 3120mhz TCCD

2x 512MB Corsair XMS3500C2v1.1 BH-5 on 166mhz divider

Super Pi 32M
@3000mhz at 1.44v = 24m 00.719s
@3102mhz at 1.536v = 23m 14.906s
@3120mhz at 1.536v = 23m 05.171s
@3141mhz at 1.568v = 22m 59.453s
@3150mhz at 1.616v = 22m 56.875s

vs

2x 512MB Gskill PC4400LE TCCD on 180mhz divider

Super Pi 32M

@3102mhz at 1.536v = 23m 23.735s
@3120mhz at 1.568v = 23m 14.547s
@3130mhz at 1.568v = 23m 10.297s
@3133mhz at 1.568v = 23m 08.500s
@3141mhz at 1.584v = 23m 05.891s
@3150mhz at 1.616v = 23m 03.531s

it's types of memory chips of modules i.e.

OCZ PC3200 Plat rev2, OCZ PC4800Plat Elite = Samsung TCC5/TCCD
Gskill PC4400LE, PC4800FF, PC4800FR = Samsung TCCD
Patriot PC3200XBL = Samsung TCCD

OCZ PC3200/PC3500 Gold = Winbond UTT BH-5
